Last Call: Radical Moms on Zoom 👀 🤱🏾
We're meeting to take over the world on Sunday and Monday. Bring your own snacks.
We’ve met with hundreds of moms over the last two weeks. It’s been inspiring, magical, LIFE AFFIRMING. This week alone we schemed along side a radical doula based in the Florida panhandle. Spent the morning chatting with a lactation consultant based in Ohio. She’s a mother of six who taught herself how to nurse while living in a homeless shelter for mothers. She taught the other women in the shelter to breastfeed too. Like I said, magical, but also a little thrilling because… people are scared of us?
We’re organizing women to defend the motherbaby dyad against corporate forces that profit off it’s destruction.
A few women and one dude have offered some feedback:
Be nicer (to the corporation)
Avoid mom shaming (the corporation)
“Have you tried asking (the corporation) nicely?”
It’s not right to force breastfeeding (on the corporation)
Build a bridge (between moms and the $100 million corporation)
Have a productive conversation (with the corporation)
Listen, we don’t call ourselves the Normal Moms Union or the Asking Nicely Union. We’re radical for a reason, we don’t ask, WE DEMAND.
Smash Bobbie.
YOU GO MOMS!👍
