Here’s what it’s like to parent small children with a brain, that for reasons not entirely known to myself or to science, starts to devour itself from time to time.
Like many of you reading this, I consider myself pretty crunchy. That is to say, I always strive to put natural/organic stuff on or in my body. I want as little to do with any sort of global food or pharmaceutical conglomerate as possible. I believe in minimal medical intervention and maximum self-reliance. I’m more likely to reach for elderberries than antibiotics so trust me when I tell you that I’ve tried every possible ‘natural’ remedy to fix a brain that convinces me I’m riddled with cancer, married to someone who doesn’t love me, and am raising impossible children.
